Sauerkraut salad - Russian Appetizer Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Sauerkraut salad:

500 g sauerkraut Fresh or pickled apple
1 tblsp salad oil Celery and red
1-2 tblsps sugar bilberries (optional)

Mix the sauerkraut with sugar and salad oil. Should the sauerkraut be too sour, wash in cold water and squeeze. If desired, slices of fresh or pickled apples (see p. 179), diced celery, fresh or soaked red bilberries may be added. Serve with sausages, roast pork or boiled fowl.
