Pancake Pie - Russian Bread and Pies RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Pancake Pie : Prepare the pancakes (blinchiki) as directed above. Butter a cake pan
or shallow saucepan and dust it with bread crumbs. Line the bottom and
sides with one layer of blinchiki, browned side inspread a layer of filling
and cover with a pancake. Alternate layers of filling and pancakes till
the pan is full. Cover the to layer of filling with a pancake, brush it
with a beaten egg, dust with bread crumbs and sprinkle with butter. Bake
for 30 to 40 minutes. When the pie is done, turn onto a plate. Separately
pass butter.
