Pumpkin, Squash Marrow or Carrot Thick Pancakes - Russian Bread and Pies Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Pumpkin, Squash Marrow or Carrot Thick Pancakes:

1 kg flour 2 tblsps vinegar
1 kg desired 1 ½ tsps salt
vegetables ½ tsp soda
2 eggs 2 tblsps butter
1 or 2 tblsps sugar

Wash, cut and cook the vegetables in a small amount of water. When tender put them through the food chopper or rub through a strainer. While the vegetable puree is still warm, beat in the eggs, add salt, vinegar (or sour milk) and stir in the flour which has been sifted together with the soda. Mix thoroughly and cook the oladyi on a hot griddle.
