Sauerkraut and Mushrooms - Russian Bread and Pies Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Sauerkraut and Mushrooms:

1 kg sauerkraut 50 g dried mushrooms
3 or 4 tblsps fat salt, pepper
2 or 3 onions

If the cabbage is too sour, rinse it in water and then scald. Chop up fine, add butter or vegetable oil, cover and braise until tender (for 5 hours). Separately sauté minced onion and add to it finely cut up cooked mushrooms, salt and pepper. Saute for 3 or 4 minutes and mix with the cabbage.
