Thick Pancakes - Russian Bread and Pies Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Thick Pancakes:

(Oladyi)

500 g flour 3-4 tblsps butter or
2 cupsful milk or water vegetable oil
2 eggs ½ tsp salt
1 ½ tblsps sugar 25 g yeast

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, stir in the flour and beat. Set aside in a warm place to rise. Then add the eggs, salt, sugar and 1 tblsp butter or oil. Mix the batter thoroughly and set aside. After the batter rises again, cook. Pour the batter onto the hot buttered griddle with a wet spoon. Brown on both sides and serve with sugar, honey, preserves or cottage cheese mixed with sour cream and sugar.
