Buckwheat Porridge Pudding with Curds - Russian Cereals & Puddings Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Buckwheat Porridge Pudding with Curds :

1 cupful buckwheat ½ tsp salt
groats 2 tblsps butter
200 g curds or 2 tblsps sugar
cottage cheese ½ cupful sour cream
2 eggs Bread crumbs
2 cupsful milk

Bring the milk to a boil, add the groats and cook until thick as porridge. Add curds which have been pressed through a strainer or passed through a food chopper. Stir in sour cream and mix. Then add the raw eggs, salt and sugar. Combine thoroughly, pour into buttered baking pan which has been dusted with bread crumbs. Brush with sour cream and pour over a tablespoonful of melted butter. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Serve with butter or sour cream poured over.
