Lentils and Dried Apricots - Russian Cereals & Puddings Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Lentils and Dried Apricots :

1 cupful lentils 2 or 3 tblsps vegetable
50 g dried apricots oil
1 or 2 onions salt, pepper
25 g shelled walnuts minced kindza

Wash and put the lentils in 2 ½ cupsful of cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Soak the dried apricots for 15 minutes in warm water, then drain. Saute the apricots and minced onion in the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add to the lentils the chopped walnuts. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve sprinkled with finely minced kindza.
