Millet Kasha with Pumpkin - Russian Cereals & Puddings Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Millet Kasha with Pumpkin:

1 ½ cuspful millet 3 cuspful water
750 g pumpkin or 1 tsp salt
winter squash

Pare the pumpkin and remove the seeds. Cut in up and cook in water for 10 to 15 minutes. Add the washed millet and continue to cook for 15 to 20 minutes. When the cereal has largely taken up the water, set it over the lower part of the double-boiler and steam for 25 to 30 minutes. Pass butter when serving.
