How to Cook & Prepare Puddings and Cakes :

(Zapekanka and Bitochki)

The cereals most commonly used for zapekanka and bitochki are millet, rice and mannacroup (semolina). Zapekanka is made of thick porridge (1 cupful of cereal and 3 cupsful of milk or water) baked in a buttered pan dusted with bread crumbs. The top is sprinkled with bread crumbs and dotted with butter. It is baked for 15 to 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown
