Dried Apple or Apricot Kissel - Russian Desserts RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Dried Apple or Apricot Kissel:
Wash the dried apples and soak in 3 ½ cupsful of hotwater for
2 or 3 hours. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain and press
the apples through a sieve. Add the pulp to the liquid, stir in the sugar
and bring to a boil again. Thicken with potato flour which has been dissolved
in water.
