Strawberry and Wild Strawberry Kissel - Russian Desserts Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Strawberry and Wild Strawberry Kissel:

1 cupfu strawberries or 2 tblsps potato flour
wild strawberries ¾ cupful sugar

Wash and hull the berries. Rub them through a sieve. In a saucepan dissolve the sugar in 2 ½ cupsful of hot water. Bring this syrup to a boil, stir in the potato flour which has been dissolved in water and bring to a boil again. Add the berry puree and blend.

Raspberry or Bilberry Kissel

Substitute raspberries or bilberries in the above recipe.
