Codfish stewed in Milk - Russian Fish & Seafood Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Codfish stewed in Milk:

500 g codfish 2 cupsful milk
25 g flour salt
40 g vegetable oil pepper
250 g onion minced parsley or dill

Cut the unskinned fillet of codfish into 40-50 g pieces. Dredge with salt, pepper and flour; sauté in oil until golden brown. In a deep saucepan lay alternate layers of onion and fish, starting with sliced raw onion or leek. Add hot boiling milk to cover and simmer until the onion is tender. Serve hot garnished with boiled potatoes or rice; serve cold without garnishing.
