Fried sprats with onion - Russian Fish & Seafood Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Fried sprats with onion:

300 g sprats 80 g onion
40 g flour salt
60 g vegetable oil

Wash the sprats in cold water and drain thoroughly in a colander. Sprinkle with salt.

Heaf the oil in a skillet and fry the sliced onion. Roll the fish in flour and fry immediately. Stirring carefully, fry over high heat until done. Serve with fried potatoes or boiled potatoes, cucumber, tomato or sauerkraut.

Fried anchovies or sardelles

Either of these may be substituted in the above recipe for sprats.
