Spart balls and vegetables - Russian Fish & Seafood Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Spart balls and vegetables:

320 g fillets of sprat 40 g parsley
60 g white bread 400 g stock
20 g flour 1 small egg 1 small egg
60 g carrot salt, pepper
120 g onion dill,

Put the filleted sparts through the mincer twice together with the bread which has been soaked in water. Add the egg, flour, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and shape into round balls the size of a walnut. Put a layer finely sliced carrots, onions and parsley on the bottom of a casserole and the balls on the vegetables. Add hot fish stock or water to cover. Season with salt and simmer for 1 to 1 ½ hours.

Serve with the broth and vegetables and a garnishing of boiled potatoes, green peas or stewed beetroots. Sprinkle with minced dill.
