Braised Lamb with String Beans - Russian Meat Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Braised Lamb with String Beans:

500 g lamb 2 or 3 tblsps butter
400 g string beans salt, pepper
1 onion minced parsley or dill

Wash the meat, cut into pieces (3 or 4 per portion) and brown in butter in a shallow saucepan. Add water to cover, close tightly with a lid and braise for 30 to 40 minutes. Add the sauted onion and cut string beans from which the strings have been removed. Season with pepper and salt. Braise until the meat is tender. Serve on a hot platter. Sprinkle with minced parsley or dill.
