Braised Liver with Mushrooms - Russian Meat Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Braised Liver with Mushrooms:

600 g calf liver 200 g fat or boiled
100 g dried mushrooms butter
400 g potatoes 200 g sour cream
200 g onion salt, pepper

Cut the liver into pieces (3 or 4 per portion ) and sauté. Cut up the mushrooms which have been soaked and then boiled. Saute the mushrooms together with the onions sliced into rings. Put the liver, mushrooms and onions in a casserole. Pour over the mushroom liquor, sour cream and , if desired, tomato paste. Put the fried potatoes on top. Braise until done.
