Cabbage Leaves Stuffed with Meat (Golubtsy) - Russian Meat RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Cabbage Leaves Stuffed with Meat 300 g meat (boned) 2 tblsps tomato puree Put the meat through the food chopper. Cook and cool the cereal. Mix together the cereal, ground meat, slightly browned onion, salt and pepper. Parboil whole cabbage leaves for 5 to 7 minutes and then cool. Chop off the stems. Put some of the meat, cereal and onion mixture on each leaf and roll up sausage-like closing the ends by folding the leaf inward. Brown in butter in a frying pan and transfer to a saucepan. Combine the sour cream, tomato puree and one cupful of water in frying pan, add the flour, bring to a boil and salt to taste. Pour this sauce over the golubsty, bring to a boil and cover. Simmer over low heat (or bake uncovered) for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with the sauce. Sprinkle with minced dill or parsley. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
