Corned Tongue with Garnishing - Russian Meat RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Corned Tongue with Garnishing: Scrub the tongue, place it in a saucepan and add cold water to cover. Add vegetable roots and onion. Boil for 3 to 3 ½ hours over low heat. When the tongue is tender, remove it from the saucepan, rinse in cold water and immediately skin. Slice the tongue and pour over 2 or 3 tblsps of the liquor and melted butter. Garnish with buttered peas, stewed, cabbage, puree of potatoes or peas.
