Fried Brains - Russian Meat RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Fried Brains: 1 set of brains 2 or 3 bay leaves Soak the brains in cold water for 30 to 40 minutes. Drain and remove the membrane. Put the brains in a saucepan, add water to cover. Add vinegar (or lemon juice), salt, bay leaves and peppercorns. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 25 to 30 minutes. Drain and dry slightly. Cut each part in half, season with salt and pepper, dredge with flour. Fry in butter, browning the both sides. When done pour over butter and lemon juice. Sprinkle with minced parsley or dill. Serve with garnishing of fried or mashed potatoes, potatoes in milk, peas, string beans, carrots or any other vegetables. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
