Roast Goose or Duck stuffed Apples - Russian Meat Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Roast Goose or Duck stuffed Apples:

1 goose (750 g apples for
1-1 ½ kg antonovka 1 duck)
or other tart 2 tblsps butter for
apples garnishing

Prepare the goose or duck and stuff with pared apples cut in quarters. Sew up the vent and roast in the usual way pouring ½ cupful of water into the roasting pan. Baste the bird with pan juices. Roasting time for a goose or duck is 1 ½ to 2 hours. The goose or duck may be garnished with baked apples, stewed cabbage, buckwheat kasha or potatoes
