Cabbage sprout shchi - Russian Soup RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Cabbage sprout shchi: 300 g meat 2 tblsps butter Prepare 1 ½ litres meat stock. Pare and slice the root vegetables
and onions; sauté in butter in the soup kettle. Discard the roots
of the sporuts and cut the leaves into two or three pieces. Wash, scald
and drain in a strainer. Pour cold water over, drain and add to the vegetables.
Add meat stock, bay leaf, pepper and salt. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
Put a piece of meat in each plate. Top with a teaspoonful of sour cream
