Dried Bean Cream Soup - Russian Soup RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Dried Bean Cream Soup: 400 g dried beans 4-5 cupsful water Wash and soak the beans in cold water for 5-6 hours. Drain and then cover with 4-5 cupsful of water. Add the carrot cut in half and the whole onion into which the cloves have been inserted. Cover and simmer for 40 to 50 minutes. Remove the carrot and onion. Strain the stock and rub the beans through a sieve. Stir in the hot milk; add salt to taste. Serve garnished with butter. Pass croutons on a separate plate.
