Dried Pea Soup - Russian Soup RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Dried Pea Soup: Soak the peas in cold water for 4-5 hours. Prepare the meat stock and strain. Drain the peas and cook in the stock for 1 ½ hours. Wash, clean and dice the vegetables; sauté slightly in butter and add to the soup 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Salt to taste.
