Dried Pea Soup - Russian Soup Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Dried Pea Soup:

500 g meat, ham or 200 g vegetable roots
bacon and onion
250 g dried peas 2 tblsps butter
Croutons Salt

Soak the peas in cold water for 4-5 hours. Prepare the meat stock and strain. Drain the peas and cook in the stock for 1 ½ hours. Wash, clean and dice the vegetables; sauté slightly in butter and add to the soup 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Salt to taste. Instead of meat, ham or bacon may be used. Serve with croutons
