Fresh Berry Puree - Russian Soup RecipeHow to Cook & Prepare Fresh Berry Puree: 500 g berries 150 g vanilla rusks Wash and drain the berries (strawberries, wild strawberries, raspberries). Rub them through a sieve. Add sugar to 2 cupsful of boiling water. Stirring continuously, cook until sugar dissolves and then strain. Cool this syrup and combine with the berry puree. Chill before serving. Pass sour cream and vanilla rusks.
