Milk Soup with Pearl Barley - Russian Soup Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Milk Soup with Pearl Barley:

1 litre milk 1 tblsp butter
4 to 5 tblsps pearl 1 tsp sugar
Barley salt

Wash pearl barley and soak in cold water for 2 hours. Drain and pour over hot water. Boil for 10 minutes and then drain the pearl barley thoroughly. Add to boiling milk. Simmer over low heat for 40 to 50 minutes. Add salt, sugar and butter and serve.
