Casseroled Beetroot with Sour Cream - Russian Vegetarian Recipe

How to Cook & Prepare Casseroled Beetroot with Sour Cream:

500 g beetroots 1 cupful sour cream
1 carrot 1 tblsp flour
1 parsley root or 2 trblsps butter
celeriac salt
1 tsp vinegar 1 bay leaf
1 tsp sugar

Clean and wash the beetroots, carrot and parsley. Cut into shoestrings. Mix together with butter, vinegar and a little water. Cover and braise in a casserole until tender (from 45 minutes to 1 hour). Stir from time to time. Stir in flour which has been combined with the sour cream, salt and sugar. Add a bay leaf. Mix and boil for another 10 mionutes.
