Tomatoes Stuffed with Meat - Russian Vegetarian Recipe
How to Cook & Prepare Tomatoes Stuffed with Meat:
Wash the tomatoes in cold water, cut off the tops and scoop out the hearts and seeds without damaging the tomato shell. Dredge with salt and pepper and fill with stuffing.
Put the meat through the food chooper. Mix with sautéed finely minced onion. Season with salt and pepper. Put the stuffed tomatoes in a buttered pan. If desired, they may be sprinkled with grated cheese. Dot with butter and bake fro 15 to 20 minutes, then pour over sour cream sauce and serve sprinkled with minced parsley or dill.
